Talking with MTV News, Bruce Willis lets slip that he will cameo in Sylvester Stallone’s action mercenary feature “The Expendables”.
Even more revealing is that he, Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger – three of the five biggest action stars of the 80’s – will be on screen together.
After cheekily saying “I want to send best wishes to Sly, and the Governor of California, my old pal Arnold”, Willis was asked if he had shot his scene.
He responded “I haven’t united with them. I’m waiting for a call from Sly about when we’re going to try and make that happen. I don’t know anything about [my character] yet, haven’t seen any pages yet. But I’m excited about it.”
But it will be the three of them in the same scene? “That’s the concept. That’s the plan.”
The other two of those 80’s action stars, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal, declined to participate for separate reasons.
Others appearing in the film include Jason Statham, Jet Li, Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Randy Couture.
The news comes the same day as a featurette, which includes the first footage from the film, went online.
