Willa Fitzgerald (“Scream,” “Little Women”) is in negotiations to play Kitsey Barbour in the John Crowley-directed upcoming film adaptation of “The Goldfinch” for Warner Bros. Pictures and Amazon Studios.
Based on Donna Tartt’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book, the story follows a young man named Theodore Decker (Ansel Elgort) who survives a terrorist bombing at an art museum – an attack that kills his mother.
From there, he tumbles through a series of adventures that finds him living in Las Vegas with his deadbeat father and, later, involved in art forgeries. In the book Kitsey is Theo’s finance. Aneurin Barnard (“Dunkirk”) co-stars in the film which begins shooting early in 2018.
