Turns out a big eared elephant may not be the key reason the next “Bad Boys” film was delayed.
Recently came reports that Will Smith entered negotiations for a human role in Disney’s live-action adaptation of its animated classic “Dumbo” which Tim Burton is directing. Shortly after came the announcement that Sony had delayed Joe Carnahan’s “Bad Boys for Life” from January 2018 to November 2018.
Naturally speculation put the blame on scheduling conflicts for Smith with Disney’s film going first. Now Star Magazine reports that talks between Smith and Disney have broken down and that they weren’t able to agree on salary and scheduling.
Ehren Kruger is writing the screenplay for “Dumbo” in which it now sounds like someone else will now play the father to two children who befriend Dumbo. Tom Hanks has been offered the role of the film’s main villain and shooting is expected to being this summer.
