Will Smith was on the Chris Moyles BBC 1 Radio show late last week and briefly talked about his upcoming projects:
In regards to the “Hancock” sequel he says it has been talked about but there is no script or other movement on it at present. Still he aims “keep him alive”.
The “I Am Legend” prequel however is “a lot further along in development” but nothing new has come forward on it either lately.
As for the “Karate Kid” remake, with the action being set in China and the training being in kung fu rather than the Japanese art of karate, it sounds like they’re trying to figure out if to use an alternate title. He doesn’t sound keen on “The Kung Fu Kid” though.
