NBC has given a third season order for the “Will & Grace” revival, the renewal coming months ahead of the show’s second season which doesn’t air until the Fall.
Additionally, both the second and third seasons will contain eighteen episodes each, up from the thirteen episode count of the first season. Series stars Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally are all expected to return.
The series has been amongst the more successful series revivals in recent years, pulling in a solid 9.8 million viewers and 3.1 rating in Nielsen Live+7 ratings since its debut last Fall after eleven years off the air.
The season-three renewal was unveiled as cast and producers gathered Saturday night for a panel session held as part of Paleyfest at L.A.’s Dolby Theatre.
