Jon and Josh Silberman have been brought onboard to pen “Coyote vs. Acme,” a new feature inspired by the classic Looney Tunes “Road Runner” cartoon character Wile E. Coyote.
In the film, Wile E. Coyote will put aside his lifelong pursuit to get his revenge on ACME – the company responsible for manufacturing the gadgets which he always uses to try and catch the high-speed blue bird known as the Road Runner.
Said gadgets always fail, often leaving the Coyote humiliated and injured. Now, he’s out for some payback. At the moment it’s unclear if the film will be fully animated or a mixture of animation and live-action. The Silberman brothers previously wrote for “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and created the CBS series “Living Biblically”.
The project is not the same as a 2014 one that was in development. That was to star Steve Carell and was more centered on the ACME company itself.
