Forest Whitaker, Daniel Kaluuya (“Sicario”) and Florence Kasumba (“Wonder Woman”) have joined the cast of Ryan Coogler’s “Black Panther” feature at Marvel Studios.
Chadwick Boseman returns as T’Challa, the prince of the African nation of Wakanda, who must take over the throne after his father’s murder. Whitaker will play the role of Zuri, an elder stateman in Wakanda.
Kaluuya will play W’Kabi, a confidant of T’Challa. Kasumba will reprise her role of Ayo, a member of the Dora Milaje whose first appearance in “Captain America: Civil War” had her telling off Black Widow in one scene.
Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danai Gurira also star in the film which begins production soon ahead of a February 2018 release. Joe Robert Cole is co-penning the script with Coogler.
