It’s official, ABC’s action series “Whiskey Cavalier” is dead. Earlier this week came reports that the show’s producer Warners Television and ABC were taking a quick look into the viability of picking up the show after having cancelled it earlier this month following one season on the air.
The decision was to be made this week and now it has with ABC not reversing its choice to cancel. Creator David Hemingson tweeted the news saying:
“I just got the sad news that @ABCNetwork has passed. #WhiskeyCavalier has been fully and finally cancelled. It’s incredibly painful to say goodbye to this show and our extraordinary cast, but knowing that we made something you enjoyed – and that I believe will stand the test of time – makes it all worthwhile.”
The show’s stars Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan have been courted for other projects and both are expected to jump to those shortly.
That’s not all in cancellation news today though as NBC has opted to cancel “A.P. Bio” after two seasons. Creator Mike O’Brien broke the bad news on Twitter, encouraging fans to watch the four remaining episodes. Both series have suffered from dismal ratings.
