Wesley Strick Pens Nightmare Remake

Scribe Wesley Strick (“Cape Fear,” “Wolf,” “The Saint”) will write the script for New Line’s remake of “A Nightmare on Elm Street” says The Hollywood Reporter.

The original 1984 film was penned and directed by Wes Craven. The new version is said to be delving deeper in the psychology of nightmares and Freddy Krueger himself.

The studio is planning for a release next year to co-incide with the 25th anniversary of the original.
