Wentworth Miller The New “Spartacus”?

Former “Prison Break” star Wentworth Miller could be coming back to television as Entertainment Weekly reports he could be slipping on the sandals of the titular role on Starz’ “Spartacus: Blood and Sand”.

Previous star Andy Whitfield had to drop out of the ancient Roman gladiator-themed cable series in order to receive further treatment for non-Hodgkin lymphoma which it was previously announced that he had managed to recover from.

Starz apparently had been heavily weighing up its options and ultimately have decided to recast the role for the second season, and now Miller has apparently expressed interest.

The network is currently at work on “Spartacus: Gods of the Arena”, a six-episode prequel to the series which began production in August and stars Aussie actor Dustin Clare in the lead role of Gannicus.
