Weinstein’s Grace Is Long Gone

The Weinstein Co. has acquired worldwide distribution rights to James Strouse’s “Grace is Gone” after the successful premiere at Sundance.

The sub-$5 million budgeted “Grace” stars John Cusack as a father who must tell his two daughters that their mother died while serving in the Armed Forces in Iraq.

The Weinstein Co. bid alongside Fox Searchlight and Sony Pictures Classics with the deal closed early Sunday morning – thanks heavily to Harvey Weinstein’s “staying power” and “passion” cites The Hollywood Reporter.
