Oscar-nominated actor Jackie Earle Haley (“Watchmen,” “Little Children”) has joined the cast of the upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower” fantasy novel series at Sony Pictures.
Haley will play vampire leader Sayre, a humanoid who fears no one, in the Nikolaj Arcel-directed film which began production this week. It is currently targeting a January 2017 release.
Additionally, Haley has also signed on to Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television’s new live-action series take on “The Tick”.
