Wasikowska Joins “Stoker,” “Wettest County”

Rising Australian actress Mia Wasikowska (“Alice in Wonderland,” “The Kids Are All Right”) is looking to be a part of both John Hillcoat’s prohibition crime saga “The Wettest County In The World” and Chan-wook Park’s spooky family drama “Stoker” reports Variety.

‘Wettest County’ stars Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy and Jessica Chastain in the story of a family of vengeful Depression-era bootleggers in the American South.

Jodie Foster will also reportedly star in the Wentworth Miller-penned “Stoker” at Fox Searchlight which revolves around a teen who, while mourning the death of her father, suddenly must deal with an uncle who mysteriously appears.

The actress wants to take on both roles but there’s a scheduling conflict so negotiations are in flux right now while her reps and the studios try to work out the situation.
