“Warrior” helmer Gavin O’Connor and “Ice Age” writer Michael J. Wilson have sold their action adventure spec script “The Samurai” to Warner Bros. Pictures says The Playlist.
The story follows an assassin who breaks out of a Texas jail. While international authorities pursue him, he becomes involved with a woman and her kid with the trio taking a globe-hopping adventure between Colombia, Costa Rica, Paris and the United States.
O’Connor is said to be making this his next directorial effort. The helmer is also working on a stage play adaptation of “The Hustler” with his “Warrior” co-writer Anthony Tambackis.
