Some brief updates on two key Warner Bros. Pictures releases on the way.
First up, Collider reports that the final runtime for “Suicide Squad” has been revealed and it clocks in at a fairly sturdy 130 minutes (2hr 10mins) with credits. The report follows a false report from the other week that the film would have a 100 minute runtime, that report being quickly shot down by filmmaker David Ayer.
Meanwhile, the studio has revealed to Deadline that it is slotting the film adaptation of the “Minecraft” video game into a May 24th 2019 release date. The studio had already earmarked that date for an event title so this announcement was easy.
“Minecraft” is only the second movie to be scheduled for May 2019, the other being “Avengers: Infinity War Part II” on May 3rd.
