Warners Plans DC Games Beyond “Arkham”

Following on from the success of the “Batman: Arkham” video game series, Warner Bros. Interactive VP Ames Kirshen confirms that other DC Comics video games are in the works that will explore beyond the world of Batman.

Speaking about what’s coming next for WB Interactive with the Official PlayStation Blog, he says:

“When choosing what DC Entertainment IP we might focus on for any game, it boils down to honing in on the IPs that map the strongest, genre-wise, to what fans are interested in seeing and playing.

From there, it’s about getting the development studios with the strongest passion for those IPs to make the games… It can be hard to choose what [DC characters] to focus on.”

Asked if we might see another “Batman” game down the line:

“We don’t have anything to talk about at this time, but the possibilities are endless with a character as dynamic and beloved as Batman.”

Despite the PC launch disaster, “Batman: Arkham Knight” proved the fastest selling game of 2015 upon its release.
