Leonardo DiCaprio will produce and potentially star in an adaptation of Norwegian novelist Jo Nesbo’s “Blood On The Snow” which his Appian Way company, and Warner Bros. Pictures, have just acquired.
Penned under the pseudonym Tom Johansson, the story follows a hit man who is asked by his boss to kill the man’s wife. Trouble is, he falls in love with her.
DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Kevin McCormick will produce. The book hits stores next spring, and is the first of a two-part story with the second book to be released in 2015.
Nesbo penned the 2008 novel “Headhunters” which became the acclaimed 2011 thriller film starring Aksel Hennie and Game of Thrones’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
