Warners Is “Crazy for the Storm”

Warner Bros. Pictures has landed film rights to Norman Ollestad’s memoir “Crazy for the Storm” says Variety.

The story recounts how Ollestad’s father infused his love for extreme sports in him from age 3, pressing him to become a competitive surfer and skier in 1970s Southern California.

The experience allowed him to survive when a plane crash killed his father and stranded him alone on an icy mountaintop in the San Gabriel Mountains at age 11.
