Following his deal to star in and produce four films for Netflix, Warner Bros. Pictures has dropped out of talks to make comedian Adam Sandler’s proposed western comedy “The Ridiculous Six” says The Hollywood Reporter
Warners had been in talks for months to make the film, but even before the Netflix deal there were various issues ranging from budgetary disagreements to the failure of Sandler’s comedy “Blended” for the studio. The bombing of this Summer’s western comedy “A Million Ways to Die in the West” certainly didn’t help.
Warners is just the latest to have a crack at and ultimately pass on the project. Both Sony slated to make it and Paramount keen on it at one time, neither version came to fruition. No word if the film will now be one of the ones to premiere on Netflix.
