Warners Delays “The Losers” Two Months

Warner Bros. Pictures has pushed back its comic book adaptation “The Losers” a full two months from April 9th to June 4th.

The move is being seen as a response to the studio moving its “Clash of the Titans” remake back a week to April 2nd, plus avoiding the rising buzz over comic adaptation “Kick Ass” opening on April 16th.

The catch is that its new date is now a week before “The A-Team”, a film with a rather similar premise, and ‘Losers’ will now open in a busier weekend against several other major films like “Get Him to the Greek,” “Marmaduke” and “Killers”.

April 9th now has only one sole wide release, the Tina Fey & Steve Carrell rom-com “Date Night”. Don’t be surprised if one of the films in the crowded mid-March slots (eg. “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” “The Runaways,” “Repo Men,” “Our Family Wedding,” etc.) gets moved back a few weeks to that quieter date.
