Warner Bros. Pictures has shifted around its upcoming release schedule today with several of its smaller films either getting new dates or locked into specific dates for the first time.
They’ve set Gavin O’Connor’s Ben Affleck-led assassin thriller “The Accountant” has locked down a January 29th 2016 release. Warners’ New Line division had scheduled an untitled horror film for that date, but has moved that up by a week.
Meanwhile Todd Phillips’ true story tale “Arms & the Dudes”, starring Jonah Hill and Miles Teller, will now open on March 11th 2016. The story follows two friends in their early 20s living in Miami during the Iraq War who exploit a little-known government initiative that allows small businesses to bid on U.S. Military contracts.
Finally “Project XX,” the sequel to the hard partying teen comedy, is targeting an August 19th 2016 release.
