Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way are planning a feature film based on episodes from the classic TV series “The Twilight Zone” says The Hollywood Reporter.
Unlike the 1983 anthology film, the new one plans to use one continuing story line based on one or more of the 155 episodes produced for the show between 1959-1964. Scribes are currently being sought to deliver pitches and script ideas based on the show for feature development.
The studio owns rights to the Rod Serling-penned episodes including famed episodes like “To Serve Man” and “Eye of the Beholder”.
Summit Entertainment is currently working on a film version of the Richard Matheson-penned episode “Countdown” about astronauts who land on a planet only to find a spacecraft that looks remarkably similar to their own.
