Live+3 ratings are in for the season premiere of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” with the zombie drama jumping to a whopping 22.37 million viewers – up 29% on Live+Same Day results and up 10% on the Live+3 results from last year’s season premiere.
The series climbed from 10.98 million viewers in the key demo for Live+Same Day to 14.5 million for Live+3. These numbers don’t include encores or the final Live+7 ratings which will probably be out late next week.
Internationally it’s an even bigger success story. With a push to get the zombie drama premiering in over a dozen markets within 24 hours of its U.S. premiere, the global audience jumped 45% from last aseason – in Europe alone it shot up a whopping 68% from last year.
