Oscar Isaac has a large fanbase these days thanks to his work across a range of genres from the more populist “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” to smart genre material like “Ex Machina,” to critical darlings like “Inside Llewyn Davis”.
Now he’s trying something a little different with “Lightningface,” a new 20-minute short film penned and directed by Brian Petsos. Isaac plays Basil Stitt, a man who one day gets hit in the face with lightning which kickstarts Stitt’s transformation from ordinary man into a superhero… of sorts.
This is formulaic thrill ride, rather it’s a disturbing and sinister tale of a descent into madness before becoming a hero. Check out the clip below:
