Almost every film has a dull as dishwater behind-the-scenes featurette with actors and directors explaining their movie in only the most upbeat and vague terms. Vapid, unrelentingly commercial pieces that are the bane of a film journalist’s existence.
The team behind Wes Anderson’s stop-motion animated adventure “Isle of Dogs” however have delivered something different. Rather than talking to the voice actors behind the dogs, they’ve created a piece with the canine characters themselves doing the interviews.
Each of the actors recorded themselves for these interviews, most reportedly with their iPhones. “Isle of Dogs” hits cinemas on March 23rd.
