Danish director Lars von Trier (“Breaking the Waves,” “Dogville”) is suffering from depression, and as a result is reluctant to move forward with his next project.
He tells CBC that he’s due to begin work in a few months on a horror movie called “Antichrist” but isn’t sure whether he can get it started – “I assume that Antichrist will be my next film. But right now I don’t know.”
Antichrist depicts Satan, not God, as the world’s creator. Von Trier’s last film was a 2006 comedy “The Boss of It All.”
