“Mission Impossible” film series regular Ving Rhames is set to join Ed Helms and Owen Wilson in “Bastards” for Alcon Entertainment, Montecito Picture Company and Warner Bros. Pictures.
The story focuses on two brothers whose eccentric mother raised them to believe their father had died when they were young. When they discover this to be a lie, they set out to find their real father. Rhames joins a cast that includes J.K. Simmons and quarterback Terry Bradshaw.
Veteran cinematographer Lawrence Sher makes his directorial debut on the film which begins shooting next month in Atlanta and Miami. Rhames will primarily film his scenes in December.
Justin Malen (“Bad Teacher 2”) wrote the screenplay while Ivan Reitman, Ali Bell, Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson will produce.
