Vin Diesel has often teased his involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it has been widely suspected his voice role of Groot in “Guardians of the Galaxy” was simply a taster for something bigger. There was rampant speculation that he would also be the one to play the villain Thanos, a role that ultimately went to Josh Brolin.
Nevertheless, the “Fast and Furious” actor is back again to further tease some comments he made back in August that suggested his involvement in another project. In August, Diesel said: “I get the strange feeling that Marvel thinks I’m Inhuman”. This week, he followed that up with a photo of himself on his personal Facebook page with the phrase “Are You Inhuman?” and a shirt featuring the logo for the title.
This has led to the suggestion that he may take on the role of Black Bolt in the Marvel’s “Inhumans” film currently targeting a November 2018 release. “Inhumans” will follow a race of highly advanced humans who live in a city which is the result of a Kree experiment. They have developed special powers, and this specifically follows the Inhuman Royal Family with Black Bolt the leader.
What makes this a fun choice is that with Groot, all we got of Diesel was his voice. With Black Bolt, we get everything but as the character is mute – if he makes a sound, the impact can create a disturbance capable of leveling a city.
