History has picked up its acclaimed drama series “Vikings” for a third season of ten episodes. The renewal comes just four episodes into the show’s second season which will wrap on May 1st.
“Vikings” currently averages around 3.4 million viewers an episode in Live+Same Day ratings, half of which are from the adults 25-54 demographic. Those numbers jump by 51% and 60% respectively (5.1M, 2.7M) in Live+7 ratings.
The show is #1 in cable in its Thursday 10-11 p.m. time slot. Filming on the third season begins this summer to air in 2015.
