Verbinski Rustles Up The “Lone Ranger”

“Pirates of the Caribbean” director Gore Verbinski and Johnny Depp look set to re-team for “The Lone Ranger” at Disney Pictures says Deadline.

The story follows a masked Texas Ranger in the American Old West who goes about fighting injustice with the help of his horse Silver and his Native-American sidekick Tonto. Johnny Depp is already set to star as Tonto, but the Ranger himself is not yet cast.

Jerry Bruckheimer is producing. The planned production dates for the film haven’t yet been set as Depp and Verbinski’s busy schedules are still being sorted out to find a compatible window.
