Valve Is Set To Make Video Games Again

Valve Corporation co-founder and president Gabe Newell has revealed that the company is getting back into the business of making new games during a presentation for their card game “Artifact” based on its last officially released game “DOTA 2” back in 2013.

Newell said: “Artifact is the first of several games that are going to be coming from us. So that’s sort of good news. Hooray! Valve’s going to start shipping games again.” Last year he hinted that the company is working on fully-fledged single-player games including a few VR titles.

Though known mostly now as the owners and creators of the Steam gaming service on PC, Valve is also responsible for three iconic game franchises – “Half-Life,” “Counter-Strike” and “Portal”. A third “Half-Life” has long been rumored and wanted, but there’s still no sign of it at this point – even with the promising statement such as that above.
