Uwe Boll is headed back into the genre he launched his famous, or rather infamous, career with – adapting video games into films.
Bloody Disgusting reports that the “Alone in the Dark,” “Bloodrayne” and “House of the Dead” filmmaker has acquired the film rights to the 1998 Amiga game “Zombie Massacre”.
The game itself was essentially a poor man’s clone of the then much more impactful and popular “Doom” game franchise.
The relief comes in that Boll isn’t directing this time, rather he’s producing and is letting “Eaters” duo Marco Ristori and Luca Boni take the helm. A teaser trailer is already reportedly due sometime next month.
