Universal Pictures has set an April 21st 2017 release date for the second full film in its proposed Monster Cinematic Universe initiative.
The untitled project follows the upcoming untitled reboot of “The Mummy” which has already set a June 24th 2016 release date.
Meanwhile, Relativity Studios has acquired U.S. rights to Blumhouse Productions’ horror title “Lazarus” and have set a February 20th 2015 release date.
Mark Duplass, Olivia Wilde, Evan Peters and Donald Glover star in the David Gelb-directed film about a group of medical students who bring dead patients back to life.
The project marks the second collaboration between Relativity and Blumhouse Productions following this year’s “Oculus”.
