Undone Summer Life Score Renewals

Amazon Prime has renewed its acclaimed half-hour adult animated dramedy series “Undone” for a second season. In addition, series co-creator Kate Purdy has signed an overall deal with Amazon Studios.

The series explores the elastic nature of reality through its central character, Alma. After getting into a near-fatal car accident, Alma discovers she has a new relationship with time and uses this ability to find out the truth about her father’s death. Rosa Salazar, Bob Odenkirk and Daveed Diggs star.

That’s not the only renewal today as over on Showtime, they have handed out a second season order for “Back to Life” – the news comes just nine days after the limited comedy series debuted in the United States.

Created and written by Daisy Haggard and Laura Solon, Haggard plays a woman who, after 18 years behind bars, returns home and stumbles back into adult life in the coastal town she once knew while the mystery of her past looms large. Geraldine James, Richard Durden and Jo Martin co-star.

Finally, Netflix has renewed its zombie thriller series “Black Summer” for a second season of eight episodes. Filming begins next year in Alberta, Canada. Jaime King, Justin Chu Cary and Christine Lee will return to star in the second season which has John Hyams as sole showrunner.

That series followers survivors of a cataclysmic event who contend with zombies to reach a military evacuation site. King plays a mother torn from her daughter who embarks upon a journey, stopping at nothing to find her.
