Underprivileged Kids Will See “Wrinkle In Time”

Civil rights advocacy group Color Of Change and AMC Theatres are teaming to provide free tickets to underprivileged children for screenings of Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time” starting March 9th.

The free tickets are being offered through the ‘Give A Child The Universe’ initiative, which encourages individual and group benefactors to purchase and donate tickets to the movie. Color Of Change will then distribute tickets to local partners, schools and community-based organizations for showings at AMC locations.

The news comes as a new TV spot for the Ava DuVernay-directed fantasy film has arrived and finally goes into a bit more about the antagonist of the film – The IT. No sign of the giant disembodied brain from the novel, instead it’s a dark pulsating mass akin to a tumor but on a galactic scale.
