UNCLE, Point, Sniper, Pixels Score New Dates

A couple of key release date changes have been announced.

First up, the Adam Sandler and Peter Dinklage-led comedy “Pixels” has been pushed back by two months from May 15th 2015 to July 24th 2015. The Sony film, which was to open against “Mad Max: Fury Road,” will now open against the “Poltergeist” remake and comedian Amy Schumer’s comedy debut.

Next up, Warner Bros. Pictures has shifted around its upcoming release date schedule. Clint Eastwood’s “American Sniper,” starring Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller, will score a limited release this Christmas ahead of a wide opening on January 16th.

Guy Ritchie’s action spy film “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” starring Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer has been pushed back by a whopping eight months – from mid-January to the more lucrative August 14th 2015.

Due to that shift, they’ve also moved up the “Point Break” remake by a week from August 7th 2015 to July 31st 2015.
