Hot on the heels of “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” scoring a February 23rd release this morning, along comes word of an even bigger sequel set to hit shelves in the first quarter of next year.
Naughty Dog has announced that the PS4 exclusive “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” will score a March 18th release next year in both North America and Europe. Three separate special editions of the game will be available.
The ‘Special Edition’ includes the game, a collectible steelbook case, Naughty Dog & Pirate Sigil sticker sheet, and in-game currency to unlock various multiplayer content.
The ‘Digital Deluxe Edition’ includes a digital copy of the game, day-one unlock for two multiplayer customization items, and the ‘Triple Pack’ (basically a Season Pass) for a single player DLC pack along with two multiplayer add-ons.
The costly ‘Libertalia Collector’s Edition’ includes the Special Edition plus a 12″ premium Nathan Drake statue by Gentle Giant, three multiplayer outfits, two custom weapon skins, Henry Avery Sigil ball cap, and Madagascar Sidekick outfits. GameStop, Amazon and PSN versions will also have their own exclusive weapon customization packs.
Picking up three years after the third game ‘Drake’s Deception,’ Nathan Drake is drawn out of retirement by his long-lost brother Sam to find a mysterious pirate treasure. Reportedly planned as the final game in the series (and the first for PS4), the title will be preceded by “Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection” – a PS4 remaster of the original PS3 game trilogy which hits stores October.
That remastered trilogy has been playable at PAX Prime this week and has been getting rave reviews as the game boasts not only graphical upgrades to 1080p/60fps and higher resolution textures but some gameplay improvements as well.
