Ultron Is Summer’s Most Anticipated Film

Going into the Summer movie season, a new poll from ticketing company Fandango reveals that Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is by far the most anticipated film of the season.

Over 1,000 people were asked to pick the film they’re most keen on seeing this Summer, with ‘Ultron’ taking a whopping 54% of the vote. Coming in second was “Jurassic World” with 14% followed by “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” with 10%. “Terminator Genisys” and “Mad Max: Fury Road” also made the top five.

The upcoming “Avengers” sequel is already outselling its predecessor in terms of pre-tickets by a wide margin. The film is currently on track to open to over $200 million.

The poll also looked at family films with “Minions” taking the top vote with 33% followed by “Inside Out” (23%), “Tomorrowland” (22%) and “Pan” (8%). In terms of comedies, “Pitch Perfect 2” came in first with 34% followed by “Ted 2” with 22% and “Entourage” with 16%.
