UA Remakes Spanish Time Crimes

United Artists plans to remake the Spanish film “Time Crimes” (Los Cronocrimenes) which has its US premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival reports the trades.

Written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, “Cronocrimenes” is a jigsaw-style thriller about a man who accidentally travels back in time one hour and finds himself facing multiple dangers, including his own doppelganger.

Scribe Steve Zaillian (“American Gangster”) will produce the remake, but will likely not pen the script. The project marks the first United Artists deal to be made since signing an interim agreement with the WGA.
