“Teen Wolf” alum and “Everybody Wants Some” actor Tyler Hoechlin has been cast as Superman/Clark Kent in the upcoming second seaon of the Greg Berlanti-produced “Supergirl” series.
Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says in a statement: “Greg and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman. We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.”
The drama series is making the jump from CBS to The CW for its second season. Hoechlin has a familiarity with the show, ‘Everybody’ lead Blake Jenner is married to Supergirl herself Melissa Benoist and has previously appeared on the series as the son of Calista Flockhart’s Cat Grant.
Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season, how many further episodes he’ll feature in is unclear at this time. “Supergirl” Season 2 will air Mondays at 8pm on The CW.
