Twin Peaks Revival Won’t Hit Until 2017

Don’t expect Showtime’s “Twin Peaks” revival to go early it seems. CBS Corp CEO Leslie Moonves has revealed during the company’s Q3 earnings call that the murder-mystery thriller series will arrive sometime in 2017, NOT late 2016 as some were predicting.

The original plan was to begin production in September for a late 2016 premiere, but with the expanded episode order and Lynch himself directing all the episodes – the filmmaker has complete creative control over the project and they’ll basically get it when he’s done with it.

Kyle McLachlan, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Robert Knepper, Balthazar Getty and Amanda Seyfried star in the currently in production event series, but details are being kept very quiet for now.
