“Twin Peaks” Revival Teases Its Haunting Score

Without question, one of the most indelible parts of David Lynch’s classic TV series “Twin Peaks” was the haunting work of composer Angelo Badalamenti. From his Grammy Award-winning theme music to the incidental score which scored three Emmy Award nominations, it remains some of the best pieces of music ever created for television or even cinema.

Badalamenti will return as composer for the show’s revival, and today Showtime has released a new teaser for the series with the focus on Badalamenti’s work. Sadly there’s no new footage in the clip, but there is a glimpse of the man himself at work.

The story picks up twenty-five years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. The eighteen new episodes, which are all directed by Lynch, will premiere on Showtime in 2017, on-air, on demand and over the internet.
