TV News: Zombieland, Burton, Cougar, Girl

Amazon has confirmed it has greenlit a “Zombieland” TV series from scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. “Zombieland” is one of thirteen pilots that will be streamed for free on Amazon Instant Video and LOVEFiLM UK.

Burton and Taylor
Dominic West and Helena Bonham Carter are set to star as legendary, volatile ex-lovers Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor in the BBC4 & BBC America production “Burton And Taylor”.

The story charts the pair’s ill-fated appearance in a 1983 revival of the Noel Coward play, Private Lives, which ran for 63 performances on Broadway. Richard Laxton helms from a screenplay by William Ivory. [Source: Deadline]

Cougar Town
ABC Studios’ “Cougar Town” has received an order for another season at the cable network TBS. The fifth season order will consist of thirteen episodes.

Girl Meets World
William Daniels will reprise his beloved role as Mr. Feeny in Disney Channel’s upcoming “Girl Meets World,” the spin-off of the classic 1990s sitcom “Boy Meets World”.
