A new photo is out from Netflix’s “The Witcher” series, this one showing off Henry Cavill’s monster hunter brandishing a single sword. Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia is a solitary Witcher who struggles to find his place in a world of wicked people and beasts.

Based on Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski’s series of fantasy novels (and subsequent game franchise), the eight-episode series will focus on monster hunters known as Witchers who develop supernatural abilities at a young age. [Source: CBM]

Dan Percival (“The Man in the High Castle”) will direct the high-end “Leonardo” TV series which will portray Da Vinci in new ways, including as a gay outsider.

Frank Spotnitz is showrunner and co-wrote the film with Steve Thompson – the ambitious eight-episode English-language show is expected to screen next year to mark the 500th anniversary of his death. Each episode will revolve around one of Leonardo’s masterworks – shooting will soon start in Tuscany and in northern Italy. [Source: Variety]

Sony Pictures Television has optioned Conchita Sarnoff’s book “TrafficKing,” which tells the story of paedophile billionaire and Wall Street hedge fund manager Jeffrey Epstein and his human-trafficking crimes. They plan to shop the project around as a limited series. Sony TV is in the process of attaching a writer to the project before taking it out to the market. [Source: Deadline]

Hulu has released the trailer for the Margot Robbie-produced series “Dollface” starring Kat Dennings as a young woman that finds herself without friends and support when her long-time boyfriend breaks up with her.

Now, with the aid of an anthropomorphic cat lady, she must reconnect with her female friends and find that she should have never devoted herself so completely to a guy. Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell, and Esther Povitsky co-star in the Jordan Weiss-created series premiering November 15th.

USA Network has released a new promo for their action-drama series “Treadstone”. Jeremy Irvine, Brian J. Smith and Han Hyo Joo co-star in the Jason Bourne spinoff series which is set to premiere on USA Network on October 15th.

“Treadstone” explores the origin story and present-day actions of a CIA black ops program known as Treadstone, a covert operation that uses behavior modification protocol to turn its agents into nearly unstoppable superhuman assassins. The series follows new sleeper agents across the globe as they’re mysteriously “awakened” to resume their deadly missions.
