The Flash
The upcoming “The Flash” series has scored a casting coup, nabbing beloved character actor William Sadler for the role of ruthless CEO Simon Stagg. Sadler first appears in the show’s second episode.

In the comics, he sends his daughter’s fiancé to Egypt and leaves him for dead, only for the latter’s exposure to an artifact to transform into Metamorpho. [Source: Twitter]

The After
“X-Files” creator Chris Carter says his new mystery sci-fi drama, “The After,” has been created with a 99 episode plan in mind. So far the series has only been ordered for eight episodes which will premiere on Amazon Prime’s streaming service in four two-hour installments.

The story centers on eight strangers who must work together in order to survive in a violent, unpredictable new world with the date of March 7th serving as a common thread that ties them together. Carter says he based the series on Dante’s “Inferno,” each episode essentially standing in for one of the epic poem’s cantos. [Source: The Live Feed]
