Titanic: Blood & Steel
Kevin Zegers, Chris Noth, Derek Jacobi and Neve Campbell are all in negotiations to join the $28 million, twelve-part British miniseries “Titanic: Blood & Steel” currently filming in Belfast. The Ciaran Donnelly directed story chronicles the building of the Titanic, beginning in Edwardian Belfast in the early 1900s, a city on the edge of revolution.

Zegers will play metallurgist Mark Muir who discovers potentially fatal flaws, Noth will play financier J.P. Morgan; Jacobi would play company chairman Lord William Pirrie, and Campbell is a reporter covering the liner’s maiden voyage. [Source: Deadline]

Three weeks into filming on the first season of Cinemax’s “Transporter” TV series and executive producers/showrunners Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie have both left the project over creative differences.

Veteran TV director-producer Steven Shill is now taking over show runner duties on the show currently in production on the fourth and fifth episodes in Toronto with shooting to continue through November. Chris Vance stars as Frank Martin in the big-budget cable series based on the Jason Statham film series. [Source: Deadline]

Da Vinci’s Demons
The David S. Goyer-written pilot “Da Vinci’s Demons” is looking likely to be picked up, probably straight to series, at premium cable channel Starz.

The series deals with the early years of the famous artist and scientist. Writers are currently being sought. This marks the first project under a multi-year production agreement between Starz and BBC Worldwide Productions. [Source: Deadline]
