Terra Nova

Spielberg’s prehistoric drama is becoming a haven for producing alumni from Fox’s cancelled “24” as that show’s long-time director/executive producer Jon Cassar will take on the same capacities for ‘Nova’ reports Deadline.

He joins fellow former “24” executive producers Brandon Braga and David Fury on the mid-season series starring Jason O’Mara as a father from 2149 who is transported back 85 million years to prehistoric Earth where they join a colony of humans with a second chance to build a civilization


Mos Def has joined HBO’s upcoming Mike White/Laura Dern single-camera comedy series reports Deadline.

Dern stars as a self-destructive woman who has a spiritual awakening and decides to live an enlightened life, which creates havoc at home and work. Def will play her new boss when she returns to work.

The C Word

“Sex and the City” star Cynthia Nixon has just signed on as a guest star in four episodes of the new Showtime dark comedy series “The Big C”.

Nixon will play “Rebecca,” the flaky, long-lost college roommate of the main character (Laura Linney) who re-enters her life and shakes things up in a wild way.

The 13-episode series is currently shooting in Stamford, Connecticut for an August 16th premiere.
