TV News: Smash, Boss, Breaking, Justified

Uma Thurman features in an upcoming five episode arc on NBC’s musical drama “Smash” as Rebecca Duvall, the actress who portrays the plum lead role of Marilyn Monroe in the big Broadway show at the heart of the series.

Now the first photos of Thurman in her Monroe look have gone up at The Live Feed. Thurman reportedly worked with Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman on her vocals.

Starz will premiere the second season of its Kelsey Grammar-led original series “Boss” on Friday, August 17th.

Breaking In
Fox has pulled sophomore comedy “Breaking In” from the schedule for the remainder for the season. The network will air “New Girl” repeats in the time period.

It hasn’t been determined when the unaired episodes will run, though will likely be burned off in the summer. The show earned a mere 1.3/3 rating in its most recent airing – a season low. [Source: Deadline]

The show has already been renewed for a thirteen-episode fourth season in March. [Source: The Live Feed]
