What We Do In The Shadows
Production has officially begun on the second season of FX’s hit vampire comedy series adaptation of Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s 2014 vampire mockumentary “What We Do in the Shadows”. Actor Harvey Guillen, who portrays Nandor’s familiar Guillermo in the series, confirmed the news. The ten-episode second season is scheduled to return sometime next year. [Source: Twitter]
Why Women Kill
Marc Cherry’s darkly comedic anthology series “Why Women Kill” has been renewed by CBS All Access for a second season which is set to follow ‘a new set of characters dealing with acts of betrayal’. The series examines how the roles of women have changed over the decades, but how their reaction to betrayal … has not. Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin and Kirby Howell-Baptiste lead the cast of the first season which airs its season finale this week. [Source: The Wrap]
Sony Pictures Television is reportedly taking out the long-running Dan Harmon comedy “Community” to the SVOD marketplace with the exclusive global rights to all six seasons to be put on the block shortly. The Joel McHale-led show currently airs on Hulu in the U.S. and a variety of other streaming services globally. [Source: Deadline]
The Man in the High Castle
Amazon Prime Video has premiered the official trailer for the fourth and final season of its alternate reality drama “The Man in the High Castle”. In the final season, the Resistance becomes a full-blown rebellion, driven by Juliana Crain’s (Alexa Davalos) visions of a better world. As empires teeter, Chief Inspector Takeshi Kido (Joel De La Fuente) will find himself torn between his duty to his country and the bonds of family.
Meanwhile, Reichsmarschall John Smith (Rufus Sewell) will be drawn towards the portal the Nazis have built to another universe, and the tantalizing possibility of stepping through a gateway to the path not taken. The series is scheduled to return on November 15th.
