Glenn Fleshler (“True Detective”) is set to join the cast of NBC’s “Hannibal” next season. Fleshler will play Cordell, the personal doctor of the disfigured Mason Verger (Joe Anderson).

According to TV Line, the character is “quiet, very intelligent and definitely creepy…attentive and gentle with Mason. He’s a professional who cares about his work, but we get a sense he might be as sadistic as his boss – and a perfect fit to become his potential henchman.”

WW2 Limited Series
“Justified” creator/showrunner Graham Yost is teaming with actor Noah Wyle for the WW2-set limited series “Those Angry Days” at FX. Wyle is thought to be playing CBS newsman Edward R. Murrow in the show which also features President Franklin D. Roosevelt as a character.

The story will focus on the period between 1937 and 1941, as war spread across Europe while isolationist forces in U.S. Congress and elsewhere railed against the prospect of America coming to Britain’s aid in the fight against Hitler. [Source: Variety]
